It’s no secret that subscription purchases drive recurring revenue. When you pair that with personalized product recommendations customers can trust, you hit the jackpot.
That’s why it just made sense to introduce more subscription integrations with Octane AI quizzes. We’re excited to announce the addition of 20+ new subscription integrations, including Skio, Loop, Stay AI, and Smartrr
Octane AI’s subscription integration works with any app that uses Shopify Selling Plans. So even if you’re using another subscription app, as long as they’re on Shopify Selling Plans, you can sync your subscription products with your quiz.
This post will cover how these subscription integrations work and examples of each platform to inspire you.
Skio, Loop, Stay AI, and Smartrr: 4 new essential subscription integrations
Our new integrations with Skio, Loop, Stay AI, and Smartrr unlock a huge revenue-generating opportunity for your subscription products.
By integrating your subscription app with Octane AI, you can sell subscription products directly on your quiz results pages. This creates a hyper-personalized experience for your shopper while driving customer lifetime value up.
If you’re ready to get started, we’ve got detailed resources outlining step-by-step instructions on using subscription apps with quizzes. But, if you want an overview of how these integrations work and what data is synced between platforms, keep reading.
Each subscription app automatically syncs key data to Octane AI for any product with a Shopify Selling Plan. This means that whenever you add a new subscription product to your Shopify store, it will appear in your quizzes—no manual adjustments needed.
From there, you can choose which subscription products to display on your quiz result pages. While all your subscription products will automatically be available in your Octane AI quizzes, you can exclude any products you don’t want to appear and also recommend regular products at the same time.
If your subscription products have multiple plans or frequencies, like weekly, monthly, or quarterly, customers can select an option from a drop-down directly on the quiz results page.
Note: Even if you’re using another subscription app, though, Octane AI’s integration works with any app that uses Shopify Selling Plans.
From quiz to subscription: Turn intent into recurring revenue
When a customer goes to complete your quiz, they’ve already shown high intent. Displaying personalized product recommendations helps convert this intent into revenue.
But offering subscription product recommendations turns one-time purchases into recurring revenue.
With each completed customer quiz, you’re collecting valuable zero-party data that informs the product recommendations displayed on each user’s results page. This lets you (and the quiz user) trust that the suggested items will meet their needs. It eliminates the guesswork of scrolling through pages of product collections, hoping that you add the right product to your cart.
Displaying subscription product recommendations takes this customer's confidence and builds on it. When customers choose a subscription payment plan, they’re likely saving a bit on each purchase. However, they’re more likely to make multiple purchases at regular intervals, boosting your retention and customer lifetime value in the long run.
Plus, the zero-party data you’ve collected from the quiz allows you to maintain personalized communication with the user long after they exit your quiz results page.
If a customer didn’t make a purchase, you can continue to follow up to show the value of the subscription based on the goals, concerns, and preferences they shared with you in the quiz. Or if they did subscribe, you can reach out via email or SMS to recommend other products or new releases that fit their needs.
Don’t just take our word for it, though.

Below are six examples of brands using Octane AI with Skio, Smartrr, Loop, and Stay AI to get the most value out of their quiz results pages.
Inessa
Inessa uses Octane AI to provide a quiz that guides customers on which supplements they should purchase to reach their health and wellness goals.
Upon completion, users receive personalized results based on their primary health goal. This includes supplement product recommendations with a description of the benefits of each.
Shoppers can then purchase the product recommendations directly on the quiz results page, either as a one-time purchase or a recurring subscription, thanks to their integration with Skio.
P.S. Octane AI users get $100 off Skio’s monthly software fee (forever) and free white-glove onboarding. Request a demo here and let the Skio team know you came from Octane AI.
Gladskin
As a skin and body care brand, Gladskin has a wide range of cleansers, moisturizers, and other products that target common skin concerns like eczema or redness.
With so many products to choose from, Gladskin knew they had to point new customers in the right direction. That’s why they used Octane AI to build a skincare quiz that provides specific recommendations for each concern area the user identifies.
For example, here are personalized products to target eczema on the scalp:
The quiz results page also recommends different products to tackle eczema on the face and neck:
Skincare is categorized by high purchase frequency at regular intervals, making it the perfect subscription product. Gladskin takes advantage of this on its quiz results page via an integration with Skio that allows quiz users to opt for one-time purchases or subscriptions.
L’amarue
Using Octane AI, L’amarue offers users a skincare quiz for interested customers. It takes specific details like age, skin concern, target area, and current medications into account to recommend the best possible products.
For example, after selecting psoriasis as the skin wellness target for the lips, L’amarue recommended their collagen-boosting and plumping lip balm.
By integrating its Octane AI quiz with Smartrr, L’amarue gives customers the option to start a subscription purchase and save 15%. The personalization continues by letting users select their preferred frequency, ranging from every 30 days to every 180 days.
Seoulbox
With a wide variety of Korean products ranging from snacks to K-pop merch, Seoulbox uses Octane AI to provide a quiz that helps users find the perfect curated box.
After answering questions about their favorite K-Pop group and shopping preferences, quiz users are presented with a box full of goodies that they’ll love.
With an ever-rotating selection of products in each box, Seoulbox is the perfect brand to offer subscriptions. They’ve integrated Octane AI with Loop to do just that—users can choose to make a one-time purchase or start a monthly subscription right from the quiz results page.
P.S. Octane AI users get 50% off Loop’s Pro Plan fixed monthly fees if you sign up before Dec, 31st 2024. Redeem this offer here.
Alleyoop
Alleyoop’s “Makeup Routine Quiz” is powered by Octane AI and recommends a full line of products based on the user’s skin tone, skin type, and makeup staples.
With several text and image-based questions, shoppers receive personalized product suggestions they can trust. They can then choose to subscribe and save—as well as their delivery frequency.
Through this quiz, Alleyoop relieves some of the risks of buying makeup online. And once that trust is established, they go one step further by guiding customers toward a long-term subscription through their integration with Stay AI.
