It’s a tale as old as time in the tech world. A brand builds up its users, everything was free, and then it comes time to monetize and increase profitability. Facebook did it with promoted Pages to gain fans and Twitter did it with promoted account advertising. It feels like a bait and switch system, where these contributors helped lead to the success and growth of the platform they are on, and just as quickly were pushed to the side. Now, according to a new Bloomberg report, Amazon is considering to shut out thousands of small businesses that were using it’s Vendor Central system.
