Most grocery shoppers, from summer to winter and back again, rush through the frozen food aisle. It’s chilly in more ways than one, and often unwelcoming. Dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets and personal pizzas run the length of the aisle, leaving little in the way of real nutrition.
But there’s reason to pause and let things thaw – unadulterated whole frozen fruits and veggies are higher in nutrient content, and flash-freezing them preserves these nutrients.
